Silicone rubber teats can be delicate and prone to tearing. The tip of the teat, in particular, is thin and may tear due to physical force, even with minimal use. Teats with a “Y Cross Cut” design, having notches in three directions, are more susceptible to splitting. When washing the teat, use a teat brush, and be cautious not to push the brush through the teat’s tip.
My silicone rubber teat tore after just a few uses. Why did this happen?
